If you are stitching this on 28 or 32ct linen you will need a half yard.
If you are stitching this on 36ct linen, you can fit this on a quarter yard but you will only have a 2.75 inch border on the short side of the fabric.
If you are stitching this on 40 or 46ct linen, you will need a wide quarter.

Test a small sample if you intend to wash, esp darker colours. It has been rinsed and set carefully and should be colourfast - but always better safe than sorry.
