Smaller casks are more expensive by volume, but deliver more flavor quicker so the trade-off was worth it.\u003cbr\u003e\r\n\u003cbr\u003e\r\nThe Arran Distillery started a series of \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003especial limited releases\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e called \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e“The Bothy”\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e to carry on the tradition.\u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e The Arran Quarter Cask Batch #3\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e is a fine “Bothy” Single Malt that has been aged a full seven years in \u003cem\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eex-Bourbon casks\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e, followed by eighteen months of finishing in new, quarter-casks.
